But we had a feeling we still had more to give our riders in the turning department. After several iterations and tweaks, the new Progressive 350\/63, 375\/64, 400\/65, 425\/66, 450\/67 and 475\/68 rears have delivered it in spades.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMedium aspect, with a thin foil section and subtle turned down tips, this new design rolls into the turn beautifully, feels fluid and loose, and also grips through the carve and transitions back out the other side with predictable control and positive acceleration. Even intermediate foilers will notice the difference straight away. It’s super well behaved in rough winging conditions (just set and forget) and with the thin foil section it’s still rewardingly quick. While they deliver amazing performance characteristics, they are relatively easy for mere mortals to ride. \u003cbr\u003eAs a consequence of the performance gains discovered during the development of the ART\u003cstrong\u003ePRO\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003erange, we realised that taking full advantage of this performance required a rethink of rear stabilisers.\u003cbr\u003eEnter the AXIS\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSkinny\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003erear wing range. These are reduced chord rear wings, minimising pressure build-up and providing a better balance for more efficient new-generation front wings. The key development here has been taking the flat, narrow chord, higher span shapes, and adding a small amount of downturn. One thing you will notice with the Skinny rear wings is that whilst the chord drops significantly, greatly reducing the surface area, the spans stay very similar. With minimal span changes (just 7mm between them) and drastic chord reduction down to 55, 50, 45, 40 and 35mm, we found positive gains in speed, control, balance and feel. The Skinnies have inherited many of the same characterises that make our Progressive range so popular, like the precise feel and seamless turn initiation plus recovery.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThey are very low drag and free up speed and turning.
