FLITELab* Board Size Guide

Find the right AMP board for your ability level, weight, and riding style. More volume means easier paddle-ups and a more forgiving ride — always the better choice when in doubt.

AMP_M_Board — Mid-Length

Downwinding · Winging · Surf Foiling

The M series is the go-to starting point for most riders on the AMP system. A wider outline and higher volume make paddle-ups easier, and the extra stability means you spend more time flying and less time swimming.

Beginner Any weight 5'8" – 65L Maximum volume means easier paddle-ups and more forgiveness on takeoff
Intermediate Under 70kg 5'0" – 45L Responsive and agile; great for winging and prone in varied conditions
Intermediate 70kg+ 5'8" – 65L Extra volume prevents sinking on takeoff; AMPJet bridges the gap quickly
Advanced Under 75kg 5'0" – 45L Lower volume = snappier turns and faster response; ideal for surf foiling
Advanced 75kg+ 5'8" – 65L Volume advantage outweighs board size for heavier advanced riders
AMPJet tip: With the AMPJet assist, most riders can comfortably size down 5–10L compared to their usual board. If you're between sizes, always go bigger — you can progress down once your foiling is dialled in.

AMP_S_Board — Surf Shape

Surf Foiling · Advanced Winging · Downwinding

The S series is a high-performance prone surf shape. Shorter, narrower, and lower volume than the M — designed for riders who are comfortable on foil and want more agility and response in the surf.

Advanced 65–75kg 4'6" – 32L Performance and volume balance for heavier advanced riders
Advanced 75kg+ 4'8" – 40L Recommend the M series if you want more assist-friendly volume
S vs M series: If you're new to foiling or transitioning from an efoil, the AMP_M_Board is the better starting point. The S series is purpose-built for the surf — it rewards riders who already have their foil legs.
