Who are Slingshot?
Slingshot started in 1999, when brothers Jeff and Tony Logosz began building kites in Hood River, Oregon. They still describe themselves as mad scientists of weird boards and weird shapes, which is about as accurate as brand self-description gets. Kite, wake, wing and foil all come out of the same workshop.
The foil range is built on One-Lock — a screw-free connection that runs through the whole system. Three front-wing families (Ease, Glide, Flow), three carbon masts and a set of tails to tune the ride, across wing, surf, kite, wake, pump and downwind.

Three families, three jobs. Ease is high-lift and forgiving — where most people should start. Glide is the smooth, surfy one that carries speed through turns. Flow is high aspect, built for pumping between bumps and linking a downwinder together. Swap between them in seconds.

Every foil has the same weak point: the bit where it bolts together. Screws strip, threads corrode, grease ends up on your wetsuit and one part always ends up in the sand.
Slingshot's answer was to get rid of them. One-Lock is a screw-free connection across the whole foil — lighter, stiffer, and quicker to build than the alternatives.
